  • "Big Boss will never return" (by Darth Nefelim, 18 Jan 2005) [6/10]
A very interesting regularity exists: the next release is weaker then previous. And infrequent exclusions are only confirming this sadly rule. Can I say this Soundtrack is poor? No. Is it too ordinal? No. Or may be it's a hack-work? You miss again. And what's up then, man?! This Soundtack has lost something more important then just a style, quality or epicness. I can't feel the Core of Metal Gear here. Well arranged, professionally perfomed, but it's not a creation, it's nothing just a work. Good work.

The original "METAL GEAR SOLID Main Theme" (founded in the first game of the series) was COMPLETELY RIPPED (or stolen) from soviet classic composer G. Sviridov. You can check this statement out by listening his compositions "Troyka" and "Winter Road" (both was written in 1951). If it's hard to find'em - mail me (Darth) about this and I'll mail you all three compositions (theme from MGS and Sviridov's tracks) for free.

(note from Mirsoft: Thanks to Darth 'Snake' Nefelim for this comprehensive info; contact him in case of any questions, especially about the last paragraph ;) )
