  • "Miraculous" (by casual ties, 12 Sep 2004) [10/10]
    Unbelievable

    I'd been playing for years with no sound.

    My life is complete

    Thanks!!!!!!!

  • "Neo's ...What?" (by Neo, 15 Sep 2004) [5/10]
    This is incredibly accurate... But not life fulfilling. I'm glad there was Zelda music. Talk about Fulfilling, Soothing, Relaxing... I wouldn't bother downloading this one unless you need "Fulfillment".

  • "Great traditional music" (by YaroslaF, 28 Sep 2004) [8/10]
    I have bought Colonization game CD few years ago, because there were audio tracks on the CD :)
    I love this game and I think the selected traditional music in this game is excellent. Playing Colonization with music brings new experiences. And Colonization music is the one which I can listen to without the game.
    The best track is The fountain of youth, I love it...

    This CD is not well known, but it contains great pieces of traditional music. You have to listen them!

  • "Wonderful !" (by Gormi456, 14 Oct 2004) [10/10]
    I searched them for a long time two or three years ago... And today I found these excellent musics ! I'm soooo happy !!!

  • "Heh! =))) Excellent!" (by OverClocker, 17 Dec 2004) [9/10]

Facts / description

There are 3 MIDI sets of the game music:
- Roland MT-32 (32),
- General MIDI (31).
- Recorded General MIDI from the game by Borg No. One (28)

In case You don't own Roland soundcard or don't play MIDI files through Roland
emulating software, You would want to use General MIDI set.

Ripped using:
- DOSBox (to run the game),
- Munt: MT-32 Emulator (to output MIDI files).

Game also features Roland SFX-MIDI of explosions and noises but they
are pretty dull and use random algorithm, so they are not included.

====================
Special thanks to:
====================
- Brian Reynolds,
- Sid Meier,
(for the game)

- All the developers of the software used for ripping.

Other tools

Generate info.txt - with this cool feature you can generate the info.txt file with all tune information and save it somewhere, which means you'll have something like "tune ID card"! :) This has cool advantages - it's small, fastly readable/editable, you can add it to the tune archive if you want and you will have everytime fast information about the game and music archive. Also programs which support reading from txt files (such as KBMedia Player) can read the info.txt file directly while playing tunes of all formats!
