This is my first review for the first download i've done here and i thought i should contribute with the cause. I'm not sure which authors composed wich musics, but considering that some of them were composed by Russel Shaw, they're quite dissapoiting. None of them seem to have real instruments, only "simmulations(?)of them (except, maybe, a piano) and the songs are quite empty. Taking these songs in comparison with the ones from Fable, for example, make it pretty clear how shallow they are. Even considering that these come from a very old game and the authors probably didn't have decent resources by the time, it's really hard to listen to them when you're not actually playing the game. - "Theme Hospital Music" (by Big Mo, 28 Dec 2009) [10/10] I always liked the music of Theme Hospital, right from the start. Back in the days I played this game, I had a Roland keyboard for the music. So I would recommend to listen it on at least a Roland Sound Canvas or better. With an external samplebank, these tunes really sound awesome, and I enjoy them even outside the game. I am a real MOD fanatic (because of samples) but this is probably some of the best MIDI music you'll ever get. Absolutely worth the download! - "Plenty of medicine" (by honkstar82, 12 Mar 2013) [7/10] A great little compilation of tunes from a crazy game! These are good easy-listening music, and when you hear them on an updated soundfont you can really appreciate all the work that was put into them. The songs themselves are light jazz with a bit of chiptune techno and big band thrown in, very much like the waiting music in hospitals. Hearing a pack like this makes me wish Syndicate Wars had this big of a soundtrack! *** More info about Andy Wood *** Original game music from Andy Wood: Rise of the Robots: Game rip (Amiga) [22 Dec 1994] Theme Hospital: Game rip (Dos) [29 Dec 1995] Rise of the Robots: Game rip (SNES) [22 Dec 1994] Games which composed Andy Wood music in: (if there is platform in the parenthesis, it means the composer composed or ported the music for this platform) - Rise of the Robots (Amiga) - Theme Hospital *** More info about Jeremy Longley *** Original game music from Jeremy Longley: Theme Hospital: Game rip (Dos) [29 Dec 1995] Games which composed Jeremy Longley music in: (if there is platform in the parenthesis, it means the composer composed or ported the music for this platform) - Theme Hospital *** More info about Adrian Moore *** Original game music from Adrian Moore: Syndicate Wars: Game rip [1996] Theme Hospital: Game rip (Dos) [29 Dec 1995] Syndicate Wars: Game rip (Dos) [1996] Games which composed Adrian Moore music in: (if there is platform in the parenthesis, it means the composer composed or ported the music for this platform) - Theme Hospital - Syndicate Wars *** More info about Tony Cox *** Game music originally related to Tony Cox: Theme Hospital: Game rip (Dos) [29 Dec 1995] Games which composed Tony Cox music in: (if there is platform in the parenthesis, it means the composer composed or ported the music for this platform) - Theme Hospital *** More info about Russell Shaw *** Original game music from Russell Shaw: Black & White: Original soundtrack [2000] Syndicate Wars: Game rip [1996] Dungeon Keeper: Game rip [7/10] [1997] Black & White: Game rip (Win) [2000] Syndicate: Game rip (Amiga) [1993] GeneWars: Game rip (Dos) [1996] Magic Carpet 2: Game rip (Dos) [Oct 1995] Magic Carpet: Game rip (Dos) [1995] Theme Hospital: Game rip (Dos) [29 Dec 1995] Syndicate: Game rip (Dos) [1993] Syndicate Wars: Game rip (Dos) [1996] Magic Carpet: Game rip (C64) [1984] Game music originally related to Russell Shaw: Black & White: Arranged/Remixed tunes [18 Jun 2001] Dungeon Keeper Theme Park: Arranged/Remixed tunes (MegaDrive) [1995] Games which composed Russell Shaw music in: (if there is platform in the parenthesis, it means the composer composed or ported the music for this platform) - Black & White (PC Windows) - Syndicate (Amiga) - Magic Carpet 2 (PC Dos) - Magic Carpet (PC Dos) - Theme Hospital (PC Dos) - Theme Park (Amiga) - Theme Park (PC Dos) - Syndicate Wars - Dungeon Keeper - GeneWars (PC Dos) - Magic Carpet 1: Hidden Worlds (PC Dos) - Magic Carpet 2: Netherworlds (PC Dos) - Populous: The Beginning - Black & White: Creature Isle (PC Windows) *** Record info *** Record created/updated: 26.
