WHAT'S NEW?

Yo! Welcome back alive, hopefully you have survived one month without game mods, mids and also without my awesome site!! ;-) Maybe you're curious what's happened and what will be in the future, so here's the story:

One nice sunny day, I woke up in the morning, and recognized that mirsoft.nfo.sk server with all your favourite game music stuff doesn't work. I wanted to make some repairs but whoops - I soon recognized not only that server administrator is unreachable, but also that I lost password and I'm in Prague, server is in Bratislava and administrator was last seen in Kosice ( distance between these cities are around 300+ kilometers ). Really great situation, especially when the server didn't seem to wake up alone . I have anyway to be thankful to former server admin, because he kindly hosted the site for absoluely free. Now I still don't know what happened exactly to his server, where is he, if original *.nfo.sk servers will be up sometimes and what will happen to other great projects hosted there.

Anyway, during the inactivity I found the company who will sponsor the site with server and space! It is Webglobe company and we can be thankful the people from Webglobe, because thanks to them you can now see the site up and enjoy the great golden game tunes. So, hopefully we won't have another trees in way now )

Technically, we have to use some restrictions for now: I had to rebuild whole site and restore the data from backups. Unfortunately, last database backup was done sometimes in July 2001 , but it doesn't mean any tragedy, it only means that news articles from the end of the year have been lost and also "Recommended downloads" section will have to be rebuilded again. But the archive has been grown a bit, I added some new mods and mids from last time, though all tunes will be now marked as "new" for a while (from logical reasons ). Also I'm afraid the server doesn't support ZIPs for now, so you won't see 'Archive info', 'Game info' and 'Num of tunes' fields in the music section. I'll see what'll be possible to do with that.

Huge update of World of Game Mods, 100+ new games (mostly from C64) added.

So, after week of packing, editing and testing, the World of Game Mods has launched in full speed! Mods from 444 games and more than 200MB of great music is available to download. Enjoy!
