  • "Civilization!! (Phew! I spelt it right! ;))" (by Dr. Spa, 22 Jul 2004) [7/10]
Nice memories from this game, I used to get the demo of this game from MacFormats around 1997-98. When I played it there was no music though... (Maybe its an added feature you get in the full version). Anyway a game like civilization doesn't really require music to be a good game, All it needs is soundfx - without those it would be rather boring, dont ya' think. Most of these MEDs are just soundfx - they are good but they're rather short... Most of them are 5 - 45 seconds. If you like collecting sound effects, you will love this, if not you might like the title music (if any, I forget if it did have title music or not!!!).

  • "Corrupted songs." (by Khalbrae, 23 May 2008) [5/10]
This .med version of the civilization music seems to be corrupted. IT DOES play the right notes... but it seems for a few songs the instruments are corrupted and replaced with static or blips. I recommend the midi version over this for its greater accuracy, but there are a few selects songs in this version that work great. Unfortunately they are surrounded by songs that do not.

Other tools

Generate info.txt - with this cool feature you can generate the info.txt file with all tune information and save it somewhere, which means you'll have something like "tune ID card"! :) This has cool advantages - it's small, fastly readable/editable, you can add it to the tune archive if you want and you will have everytime fast information about the game and music archive. Also programs which support reading from txt files (such as KBMedia Player) can read the info.txt file directly while playing tunes of all formats!
