Tango Master was a game originally intended for the Argentinian arcade market, but due to the political unrest and the strict regulatory hoops the game developer, who still manufacture games in the region, had to jump through, the game was never released.

At the time the bord of censors called the game "un deshonor afrentoso de uno de los smbolos fundamentales de la Repblica" (a dishonour to one of the fundamental symbols of the Republic).

In the early 1990's a further attempt was made at releasing the game, this time on the Game Boy market.
Due to prominent backers withdrawing crucial funding, partly due to the bad experience of the unsuccessful arcade release, the project was again thwarted before reaching the market.

The game music composer Alfredo Sanchez, who was rehired to work on the second incarnation of the game, was incidentally the only one contracted for both the console and arcade version of Tango Master.

The few people who have seen the game called it epic, but flawed, as the ideas were more demanding than the technical advancements of the day would allow.
