  • "Tyrian MIDIs - ah, memories." (by BulletBait, 27 Jul 2004) [9/10]
A lot of classic tunes, and the most irritating MIDI beer music ever!

If you liked Tyrian too, do what I'm going to and convert the tunes into ringtones for your [polyphonic] mobile phone... all you need is a cable/IR transceiver/Bluetooth dongle and the utility located at http://www.ringtone4me.com

    Thanks very much, Mirsoft!

  • "Tyrian Music" (by jim, 4 Nov 2004) [9/10]
    It was awsome!!!
I played the game for ages and when i got Windows XP it didn't work, how annoying. They were all exactually like the origionals, the only problems is that they don't work on my Nokia 3200, it doesn't recognise the format. But if it did work they might be too big and won't play anyway. But they are good like they are. The "Tyrian the level" music main notes are too loud or something and you can't hear the main tune. It might be my MID instrument though. Apart from that, well done!!!

  • "Good, really good!" (by Scooter Fox, 14 Oct 2005) [7/10]
Tyrian's music is almost as good as Tyrian's gameplay, so I highly recommend downloading it. Except few songs that I dislike from the time I played the game, it's an almost-excellent soundtrack (strong 7/10 IMO)... it's a pity that my soundcard plays some of those MID files horribly :(.

  • "Sadly, the rip doesn't work." (by Kaminari, 6 Nov 2005) [1/10]
Yamaha's MidRadio refuses to play the MIDs. Looks like a conversion error from XMI to MID:

    "An error has occurred (INVALID_FORMAT)."

  • "Greatest!" (by Demiurgo, 25 Jul 2006) [9/10]
Great soundtrack for great game. I'd recommend anybody who played old games to listen again this soundtrack... Feelings will rise again!

Other tools

Generate info.txt - with this cool feature you can generate the info.txt file with all tune information and save it somewhere, which means you'll have something like "tune ID card"! :) This has cool advantages - it's small, fastly readable/editable, you can add it to the tune archive if you want and you will have everytime fast information about the game and music archive. Also programs which support reading from txt files (such as KBMedia Player) can read the info.txt file directly while playing tunes of all formats!
