- "Excellent song" (by darrenforster99, 11 Mar 2004) [10/10]
The song for this game really made the game... "War! Never been so much fun!" excellent song, really catchy and unique. This was the first game I got where the makers really went to town on both the music and the gameplay to make a classic. Only bad thing was a few years later I got the PC version only to find the war song had been removed from the PC!!!
- "nice groovy samples" (by Dr. Spa, 22 Mar 2004) [9/10]
yeah aint bad, it's really funky and it would encorage you to actually _play_ the game
- "Never been so much fun." (by sds, 28 Jun 2004) [10/10]
So Cool, so Great, So Refreshing tune.
Dying in the sun.
Killing with your gun.
- "awesome" (by yates, 11 Aug 2004) [9/10]
this song really takes me back to my amiga days, the other versions on the other systems dont compare to this it's just not the same without the awesome lyrics :D
- "Great!" (by djgames, 24 Oct 2004) [10/10]
This song used to rock on my Amiga! 10/10!
- "It's a Jungle out there" (by Warcow, 28 Oct 2004) [4/10]
Well, I feel like a renegade against the past reviewers here but I can't say that this song really catches me much eventhough it's quite funny to listen to with the singing and that it reminds me a bit of Manu chau/Italian disco music, which I enjoy. A happy tune with nice samples but I rather listen to the Recruits track from the spc rip.
- "omfgofij98frjga9qr" (by prilly, 12 Dec 2004) [10/10]
its so cool. the dude above me saying its bad... shut up its like OLDSCHOOL. reminds me of my amiga days... oh how long ago they were... like erm when i still had a pink bedroom and games were on floppy disks. hm.
- "a classic" (by deepblue, 23 May 2005) [10/10]
the first amiga game track to include proper vocals, as far as I can remember.. I still remember my shock when I heard the track for the first time.
- "too right!!!! I fell off my chair!!!" (by timmy, 21 Oct 2005) [10/10]
When I heard the song at my mates house disk I went out and got it straight away.
My brother thought I was playing a tape in the background until I turned off the amiga to prove it!!!
VERY disappointed with p.c. version when it came out (hey it is only ten years behind the amiga!!!!) ha hah haaah THE AMIGA shall return one day to rule once more!!!!!
MARK MY WORDS!!!!!!!!!!!!
- "Huh?!" (by Scooter Fox, 31 Oct 2005) [5/10]
You know something's wrong, when you download music being a game rip with only one file in it. I suppose this is a song from intro (I never played the Amiga version). Well, I was impressed when I heard vocals... so what? It doesn't change one thing - it's nothing great. I've heard so many better songs that I don't understand people who give it 10/10. I suppose they overrate an average song because it comes from Amiga version of the great game, but come on, you shouldn't rate the game or your memories of playing it 30 hours without a break instead of song, right?
- "great song" (by fintroll, 2 Dec 2005) [7/10]
superb, very good song and average game :)
- "Back 2 basics" (by Dannydevito86, 30 Apr 2006) [10/10]
Great game, fantastic soundtrack.Seems like I will play the game AGAIN & AGAIN.Love this 8 bit samples sounds.B2Roots
- "Why the Credit?" (by Anorak99, 24 May 2006) [4/10]
How can you guys give this so much credit? I was amazed to actually hear some vocals, I have to say, but to be honest, the track does absolutely nothing! I now think a lot less of you all. :p
- "The Music made this game" (by Anonymizeruk, 19 Jul 2006) [9/10]
Not a great game, but the title music has to be regarded as an Amiga classic. This was the first time I heard an Amiga \'sing\' properly, rather than an instrumental chiptune. I give 9/10 because of the inovotive use of the Amiga\'s sampling abilities.
- "don t miss it" (by zomg111, 7 Jan 2007) [8/10]
a stylish fun tune, not extraordinary but i give it 8/10 for the lyrics (which were connected to a visual persiflage of programmers dressed up in uniforms on the screen).
i have been playing this on my pc back in the days and of course the amiga version of the undoubtfully well done game tunes surpasses the pc version due to the sampled music.
too bad the very good main screen tune is missing in this zip!
thus my rating is for the overall game soundtrack, not just the intro theme :p
this should not be missed in any proper collection.
- "The crazy guys from Sensible Software" (by TCD, 25 Jun 2007) [9/10]
The tune is great. It's funny, melodic and I could hear it all day! The reggae sound with the excellent vocals make it very special through all Amiga mods. A must download!
- "Brilliant song,worse rip..." (by azbestor, 11 Oct 2007) [8/10]
Not so long ago I ripped that song played under WinUAE in mp3,and it's bit different...
I've heard it was main proggramer singing...
